Programme Name: Diploma in Pharmacy (D. PHARM)

Programme Objectives: A programme specifically designed to create professionals who will make a mark in the pharmaceutical industry. On completion of the programme the students can get registration as pharmacist and can run their own retail & wholesale medical as well as manufacturing and packaging unit.

Programme Duration: The course duration is of 2 years with minimum of 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than 500 hours covered in around 3 months.

1) Examination pattern -Internal examination

Sessional Examinations:-

There shall be two or more periodic sessional (internal assessment) practical examinations during each academic year. The duration of the sessional exam shall be three hours. The highest aggregate of any two performances shall form the basis of calculating the sessional marks. 

Internal assessment (Theory)

Internal assessment: The marks secured by the students out of the total of 80 shall be reduced to 10 in each sessional, and then the internal assessment shall be calculated based on the best two averages for 10 marks from the sessional and other 10 marks shall be awarded as per the details given below.

Internal Examination (Practical)

The same pattern followed for theory examination is followed for the practical subjects. The tentative schedule for practical examination is before 1 week of all three Sessional theory exams.

Final Board / University Examinations

The scheme of the question paper for the practical examinations conducted by the examining authority (Board / University) shall be as given below. The duration of the final examination shall be 3 hours.
